Child report
Sasha was born in the city of Sasha was born in Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region, weighing 3800 grams, and the doctors at the women’s clinic said he was a real hero. Seven hours after birth, the child began to choke. The next morning, Sasha was taken by an ambulance to the regional children’s hospital, where he was on a ventilator for seven days. The boy came home for the first time when he was one and a half months old.
After that, he received constant treatment in the ODCL, in the neurological department in Ivano-Frankivsk, rehabilitation centers, and sanatoriums. At the age of one year and ten months, Sasha was assigned assistance as a child with a disability from childhood. He often suffered from colds. He is registered with a neurologist, psychiatrist, endocrinologist, ophthalmologist, cardiologist, orthopedist, gastroenterologist, and allergist and has many health problems.
In 2018, her mother went to the hospital to have an MRI scan done on her child, which revealed brain cysts. The doctors said that it was necessary to follow up and undergo control MRIs every six months.
Sasha started feeling worse two years ago. He became less active, more sickly, and constantly tired. Until 2021, he had a tight schedule, the whole day was scheduled to the minute. School in the morning, music school in the afternoon, rehabilitation center, gym.
When the boy’s blood pressure began to rise, he had headaches and constant fatigue, it was decided to undergo an examination at the ODCL. The specialists said that it was due to the transitional age, he had to wait, everything would pass in two years. Subsequently, MRI was done, I was monitored, and my blood pressure was checked by a cardiologist. That’s how we waited for the transition age to pass.
However, in April 2023, we went to the ODCL again, to the neurology department.
After reviewing the latest MRI scan, the doctors said that we had to go to Kyiv, to the Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery, and the referral stated that the cysts of the brain and the extensive brain process were not confirmed. The institute diagnosed him with a brain tumor. They emphasized the importance of surgical intervention to avoid the development of hydrocephalus, otherwise it would be necessary to perform a bypass surgery.
Sasha has an incredibly sincere heart filled with love and a bright soul, yet he has few friends and finds it difficult to make friends among his peers. He grew up in a circle of adults, although he attends school. His friends at school are teachers. At home he has one friend 3 years younger, they get along very well. The boy likes to play football, likes to listen to music. Sasha has already chosen a profession, he dreams of becoming a priest, he understands that he needs to study a lot. This wonderful boy believes so much that as soon as possible he will feel what it is like to live a life full of strength and energy, where there is no constant fatigue, headaches, high blood pressure, diseases, pain………
